The Lamley Group Model of the Day: HW Garage '67 Custom Mustang Coupe...

I go back and forth on Mustangs.  One day I see one and ogle over it, the next day I feel indifferent.  As many classic Mustangs as there are, there seem to be as many duds.  I know saying that is blasphemy for many of you, so I apologize.

When it comes to Mustang castings I collect, I can't figure out if there is a pattern.  I passed on the 2010 Mustang casting, as well as the 2010 Shelby, but loved the Super Snake and have all of them released so far.  I also like the Laguna Seca, but will probably quit collecting it after the three stock versions that were released this year.

The same goes for the classic Mustang castings.  I can't predict what I will like.  When a stock version of a classic Mustang is released, I usually like to pick it up.  Once they go to custom designs I usually pass.  But there are exceptions to those rules as well.  The '67 Custom Mustang Coupe is one of those.

The word "custom" is right in its name, and so there really is no stock version.  But that doesn't matter, as I think this is such a great looking casting, and it has looked good since its debut in the Garage series.  And of course it has been very popular this year as both a Walmart exclusive, and more importantly, a Secret Super Treasure Hunt.  I have one of the Supers in the collection, but haven't opened it yet for Lamley photo treatment.  That day will come, I promise.

In the meantime, here is a version I really like in red, gold, and white, with goldish-tan rims.  I love the combo, and it makes for a sharp looking model.
