As is the Custom: Our faves for the week ending September 21, 2013...

Here they come...

Yes, the brand new Hot Wheels Datsun 620 is starting to arrive in several countries, and the customizers are already doing their thing...

We have a couple of first examples here, and I am sure there will be quite a few more in the coming weeks.  We will enjoy seeing what you come up with.  And besides the 620, this a great week of customs.

Keep 'em coming by way of email (, Instagram (use the hashtag #lamleycustoms), or Facebook.

We start with a new diecast website out of Mexico that is definitely worth bookmarking:

  1. Hmmm... I think it is one of the best customs' weeks... There are all great works - I wish I some day did as good custom as this week's ones.
    Best regards,

  2. All the 2000GT's are gorgeous. Especially that blue one!
That Castrol Supra is awesome, beautifully executed.
And shout out to that blue C10 at the end. Exactly how I would have done it.

  3. Which car is the one customized by Julian Rowlands?? o.O
    What brand?

    1. me too...I want to know!!! that thing is a beauty

    2. Looks like an old Tomica Toyota Corona. Cool little build!

    3. Thanks guys , it's a Playart Toyota Corona , picked it up for a pennies at a local swapmeet and added some hotwheels rims and a quick repaint :)

  4. I really really want to thank Lamley for showing some of our work and linking people to Custom Diecast México! As a follow-up to the pics posted in here, I can tell you that those were taken right in the custom contest table at the Mexico Convention which is being held right now, and we have results! The gold/panel-painted 55 gasser won second place in Mild, and the red/white Shelby Toyota 2000GT won third place. The blue 64 Nova wagon gasser (which you can find at the blog) won third place in the Wild category, so we're pretty damn happy about our performance at the convention, specially with the very very VERY though competition this year. We'll post the rest of the entries and the winers tonight, so please go there to check them out!

  5. I love that Honda CR-V. Those wheels is what I like, the 10 SP. I even like the pagani, and that Bugatti.
