On the East Coast? Plan on attending the 32nd Matchbox USA Convention in June...

I wanted to get the word out on the next big Matchbox event for you collectors on the East Coast.

If you have been a Matchbox collector for awhile, you definitely know the name Charlie Mack.  Charlie has an amazing collection.  A collection so well known his house has literally become a Matchbox Museum.  He also is behind one of the longest lasting Matchbox events, the Matchbox USA Convention.

Well this year is marks the 32nd Convention, and Charlie wanted me to pass along the invitation to all collectors, Matchbox or not.  Especially those of you live in or near Cromwell, Connecticut.   Here is the main information directly from Charlie:

Matchbox USA will be celebrating its 32nd event on June 3-5th weekend in Cromwell, CT.  Same location as last year, the hotel has been changed from a Crowne Plaza to the Radisson.  Features pre-show Museum open house in Durham at the Matchbox & Lesney Toy Museum on Friday 9AM- 2PM followed by hours of in-room trading that goes into Saturday.  Hope to have a seminar conducted by Bob Porcja on something historical.  Convention dinner at 6PM at $60 per person with auction & door prizes.  Sunday Toy Show on the 5th with $5 admission.  Tables are 6 foot & $60 each.  All diecast welcome.  Email  Forms and information included.

  1. I remember Charlie Mack from the 1980's. He was one of the collectors who inspired me to continue my involvement in the hobby, and I haven't regretted it.
